Lancaster Grand Theatre is set to delight audiences with the enchanting tale of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, performed by the talented Morecambe Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (MAODS). From February 24th to 28th, audiences will be transported into a magical world where love, courage, and transformation take centre stage.

This beloved Disney classic unfolds in a quaint French village, where Belle, a spirited and independent young woman, dreams of adventures beyond her provincial life. When her father becomes lost and imprisoned in a mysterious castle, Belle selflessly offers herself in his place. The castle’s master, a prince cursed to live as a Beast, must learn to love and be loved to break the enchantress’s spell.

As Belle and the Beast’s relationship blossoms, the castle’s enchanted servants watch with hopeful anticipation. Meanwhile, the vain hunter Gaston schemes to win Belle’s heart for himself. Through courage, compassion, and love, Belle helps the Beast rediscover his humanity, lifting the curse that binds him.

MAODS’ production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is an amateur showcase presented by arrangement with Musical Theatre International. With music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and a book by Linda Woolverton, this production promises a magical experience for the whole family.

Performances will take place at 7:30 pm each evening from Tuesday, February 24th to Saturday, February 28th. Don’t miss this timeless tale filled with magic, music, and heart. Tickets are available now at Lancaster Grand’s website.
