Lancastrian Estates is an established, family run estate and letting agent who help people move across Lancashire. Set up in 2005 by David Robinson, Lancastrian Estates traded as Cumbrian Properties until the name changed in 2014. However, the Robinsons family roots go back much further than that and the business is built on over 100 years of Lancashire property experience. Today’s generation of the family are often invited out to market houses, flats and bungalows in Lancaster, Morecambe and surrounding areas that were built by previous generations of the Robinson family. In fact, a third of Morecambe’s homes are likely to have been built by a Robinson!
The company is founded on the principle of putting the customer at the heart, where exceptional estate agent service is not just offered but guaranteed. This still stands firm today. We don’t leave our work at the door and always make ourselves available. Lancastrian Estates retains its strong family feel with experience, knowledge and insights continually shared with new members of the team. But we never stand still and embrace change at every point. We have a keen desire and focus to explore, test and apply new methods, processes and the latest technology to improve the moving journey for customers.
Proud to carry on the Robinsons property legacy under Lancastrian Estates, we have exciting plans for growth going forward to help even more people move across Lancashire.
Not just words, our values help us deliver the best possible estate agency experience for our customers and maintain the right attitude and approach within our team.
Always do what we say we’ll do.
Do right by our customers and build relationships that matter.
Share our knowledge, insight and expertise to improve outcomes for customers and colleagues.
Never stand still. We continuously learn, explore and test new ways of making the property journey better.
Genuine care, interest and empathy for customers, colleagues and partners.
We fully support the communities we live and work in and love to get involved in local fundraising for good causes.
Over the years, we’ve sponsored and supported many local sports clubs, charities and fund raised for various projects including the Charity Family Fun Day at the Vale of Lune Rugby Club, a Charity Football Game at the Mazuma Stadium in aid of Morecambe Bay foodbank and Macmillan Cancer Support through coffee mornings and a 24 hour computer game marathon!

Operations Manager
My working career began way back for Santander, or as it was known back then, Abbey National. After learning about finance in the banking hall, I moved on to Leeds Building Society to study for my financial Qualifications, passing CeMAP and becoming a mortgage advisor.
During the financial crash in 2007/2008, as Northern Rock was ceasing to trade, I was given the opportunity to come to work with my uncle, David Robinson, at Lancastrian Estates (known at the time as Cumbrian Properties). And so, my career with Lancastrian began. Since then, I have done every job possible, from tea duty, to valuing property, and now leading the business as we transition in to a new, modern, exciting era for the business.
Outside of work I am a husband and father, helping to bring up my 3 children to help them grow and enjoy life as much as they, and we can. I am also a massive football fan, and although my better playing days are behind me, I do still try to keep playing. When not playing I am a big supporter of Man United, but more importantly, our fantastic local club, Morecambe Football Club.
Client Relations
Worked in hospitality in my teenager years and then finished my levels before joining Lancastrian at 18 as an apprentice. Having passed my apprenticeship, I now look after our clients looking to buy and rent property.
This job allows me to spend time with clients, discussing their needs, and placing them to the correct property. This is extremely rewarding for me, especially when a client buys or rents a property that they thought was not for them.
My passions and hobbies are cars and music and, with my colleague Steve, a Huddersfield town supporter.

Director
With 30 years of estate agency experience, having worked in both corporate and independent estate agency. I was born in Preston and grew up in the South Ribble district, predominantly around the Longton, Walmer Bridge and Much Hoole areas. I first started in estate agency in Exeter, Devon and soon realised the satisfaction of being able to help people move, whether selling or purchasing their dream home.
Every day is different and presents many challenges, some delivering good news and others, unfortunately, disappointing news. So being able to communicate, and at times, to show empathy, is especially important. I have worked in both rural and urban areas, helping, and meeting many people from all walks of life throughout the Northwest, managing agencies in Preston, Fulwood, Penwortham, Blackpool, Liverpool, and Bolton.
Away from the office, I am a devoted family man, who loves nothing better than spending time with my wife and son. Enjoying all sports, mainly, football, boxing, and cricket, whilst enjoying walking and cycling which I find helps free my mind. When weather and work permits, I also enjoy riding my motorcycle through the countryside in the evenings. I have known to get involved with various charity and fundraising events whilst for several years running a local youth football team.
Apprentice in Client Relations
I’m Jon and I have grown up in Lancaster for 14 years after moving here at the age of 4, helping give me a solid knowledge of the local areas. I started my A levels, then decided it wasn’t for me so I left 6th Form to pursue an apprenticeship in Estate Agency with the dream of becoming an Estate Agent; my future goal.
Throughout my life, not many things have been constant apart from my passion in tennis. I have been playing casually and competitively for 14 years and this has helped develop me into being resilient and determined. I have also recently discovered a love for cars.
The reason I am interested in Estate Agency is I love meeting new people and having new experiences day-in, day-out.
Lettings Manager
I was born in Lancaster and have lived here for the majority of my life, apart from the 3 years I lived in Cardiff for university when I studied Modern History and Politics. I have worked numerous jobs elsewhere including for a solicitors, in education and in the retail sector but I have always had an interest in property which led to me starting at Lancastrian Estates where I now run the lettings department and property management.
My job role involves organising maintenance, safety checks and inspections to ensure that your property is looked after and also being informed on new legislation so I can help to support landlords and property owners in any way I can.
Outside of work my passions and interests include sports, predominantly rugby and football, for which I support Reading and Harlequins.

On the move in or around Lancaster and Morecambe? Start with knowing the value of the property you’re selling.
Very professional. Nothing too much trouble. Very kind and caring in all they do!
Jayne Stewart
This is the 2nd time I have used Lancastrian Estates to sell a property and would 100% recommend. I felt well looked after from the get go when getting the house valued through to completion. Thank you again

Having dealt with Matthew on the residential side previously it was just as easy dealing with him again on the commercial side. Matthew was very professional, attentive and pro active. Having gone through figures, yield and return on investment numerous times we found ourselves jumping on a great opportunity located on Morecambe sea front. If you have a commercial investment or land I would 100% recommend Matthew at Lancastrian Estates.
Sarah Hurst
Fantastic experience purchasing a property listed with Lancastrian Estates. Managed to squeeze me in for a same day viewing. Which worked out for all parties as I made an offer that day that was accepted. Thank you
