Iconic Morecambe Winter Gardens

Dominating the promenade, Morecambe Winter Gardens was built in 1897 and is one of the north of England’s  oldest and most iconic buildings with a rich and iconic entertainment history. World famous acts have graced the stage over the years including Shirley Bassey, The Rolling Stones and The Shadows.

Following years of dilapidation and a period of closure, the Friends of the Winter Gardens have restorated the Grade II building which today hosts a full programme of shows, concerts and events.  

Located across the road is the famous art deco Midland Hotel.
